Hindu Wedding Ceremony Tregenna Castle

Hindu weddings are steeped in tradition which varies slightly depending on which region the couple getting married or their parents are from. Being very traditional they tend to be quite serious occasions, but all that changes after the marriage ceremony.

Tregenna has its own Mandap

After the wedding ceremony at Tregenna Castle, St Ives under the pavillion which acted as the the Mandap (a structure under which the couple get married) it was time for some fun.

The Talambralu

The talambralu is where the formality ends and the lighter side of the celebrations begin, often with the couple being lifted up by family and friends in celebration of their marriage. Lots of smiles as the couple enjoy sharing this time with their guests.

St Ives Hindu Wedding Photographer

I have been lucky to have photographed several eastern themed weddings at Tregenna Castle this one was over 2 days with day 1 being an informal gathering ending with some beach shots on Porthminster Beach St Ives which is easy to get to from Tregenna being only a short drive down to St Ives.
