Had the pleasure to photograph this wedding at Polhawn fort. The bride and groom, Lara and Al, live in Australia and after some emails and a brief chat on the phone I was booked to shoot their wedding at Polhawn Fort. If you are someone looking to book an unusual wedding venue, this may well be considering.
Lara and Al's families and their guests were such good fun and had a great time. Fortunately the weather was fantastic. Got to the venue in plenty of time to photograph Al and the rest of the chaps at the Whitsand Bay Hotel, near Polhawn Fort, where we got some fun shots and some more classic shots into the mix, prior to heading back to Polhawn Fort to photograph Lara, the girls and the detail shots of the dress etc.
The ceremony was full of emotion and was followed by a drinks reception and canapes on the roof of the fort. Got some great shots with the views that Polhawn Fort is famous for even managing to get sunset shots prior to hitting the road back home. Stopped off to shoot the fort lit up; what a great wedding!
