I had the pleasure to photograph a lovely bride and groom, Lucy and Rob, at the Porthminster Hotel in St Ives. Lucy got ready at a flat in St Ives where I got some shots of the final stages of getting ready before I headed back to the Porthminster with her brother who kindly gave me a lift along with the bride's mum.
The ceremony was conducted by Jaqui with Angie from Cornwall registration service office in Penzance.
Unfortunately we couldn't use the terrace adjacent to the bar at the hotel as it wasn't quite finished which was a shame as the view over Porthminster beach and St Ives Bay is excellent; any way, after the ceremony the guests gathered in the bar for drinks and canapes during which time I got some informal shots of everyone having a catch up.
Nearly all of the wedding guests then made their way down to the beach for a photo session; a great time for them to get their cameras out. Thankfully the weather forecasters got the weather wrong and we didn't have rain although it was windy to say the least; poor Lucy must have been frozen - she forgot to bring a coat but I think the excitement of the occasion and cuddles from Rob helped keep her warm - ha ha.
Afterwards everyone headed back to the hotel. On the way I got some shots of Lucy on her own; as you can see below she has a natural inner beauty. Before finishing the photography coverage I took some shots of Lucy on her own at the hotel a couple of which are shown below.
Thoroughly enjoyed the day which for this wedding finished for me as everyone sat down to enjoy the wedding breakfast.
